I think what the poster got so ticked about is that Moxie, who is giving the dating advice, made an assumption on her personal relationship and that hits close to home for anyone. I think expectation and reaction go hand in hand. Yes, you expect varied opinions (and assumptions/judgments) but people’s ticked off reactions should also be expected. Especially when the judgment/assumption was so personal in nature. Sometimes the moderator’s tone/comments sets the tone for the discussion and I (think) and I don’t want to speak for the poster, but that contributed to the ticked off reaction.
